where did my weekend and strawberries go

in order to keep these mateys safe from the beaks of our feathered friends I decided it was time to introduce to the allotment society Mildred of Sleaford Street, Cambridge
she likes; gingham, cider and Monty Don
(un)fortunately her voluminous smocks, and raucous laughter after two pints tend to scare off most birds and alas also the aforementioned Monty Don spot the difference if you can? should keep these safe... after settling Mildred in, it was on with the clipping of 3 miles of hedge by hand/blunt shears and the saving of a teeny bird with a disposition not unlike someone else I know all these adventures were enough to send anyone into a deep sleep
especially after 2 glasses of wine so, that's where the weekend went
good week all, it will be weekend again soon

oh deer

what do you do when last thing you remember you were nibbling on a leaf in a forest, then after a loud "boom-noise" end up on a wooden mount on a wall and finally, to top it off, you find yourself at the price of 1 euro at the local charity shop only because your antler broke off?
well, you hope a crazy vegetarian gives you a new twig antler with MGMT feather accessory and a comfortable new home looking out over a garden filled with weeds

the real world

do you ever wonder why blogs show lots of detail shots a bit like I do on my allotment day pictures? well... that's because no one wants to look at someone dressed like a Californian OAP styled by Bob Hope cutting down weeds and crap from sun up to sun down capice?
