collector of old photographs

2 great examples found by Andrew for me showing that you can look great on a sailing boat
not a dodgy Helly Hansen cagoule in sight and that standing next to a road can create a great picture

friday

records

popping out to get some air

usually ends with a quick stroll round the charity
amazed that people pounce on old Ikea tat instead of these beauties
quite glad however

scribbling and pasting

and listening to Ziggy Stardust
tried to find a decent Soul Love link to You Tube
unfortunately I could only find loons performing the song on a guitar in their bedroom
guess you just have to get the album

thursday evening

ready to get back into the "studio"
tomorrow early with a large pot of tea

Jan 26, 2011

on my way to work

I desperately kept an eye out
for sights to cheer up this incredibly grey morning
birds, boats and yellow just about did it

sunday

because the allotment still resembles a boggy swamp we prefer to eat cakes, drink tea and make stuff in the little house when I say stuff, I mean... I make "stuff"
Anne makes gorgeous hot water bottle covers and I carry on making an enormous guiness book of world records-granny square we eat matze discuss wool, the world situation and our annoying allotment neighbour; Shirley until it suddenly is time to go home

saturday

in a charity shop filled with dross I managed to unearth a great little book and a wooden lady called ; Makiko
actually she is called Beryl from Uxbridge, but I prefer to call her Makiko a scarf which I was temped to cast off as one of my own crochet creations
and which only needed three boil washes with industrial strength conditioner to lose the musty odour and best of all this completely gorgeous tin, which I had spied through the window as I passed by the charity two evenings ago after closing
3 small children, a pensioner and a small dog were unfortunately trampled, as the doors of the charity opened that following morning
nothing stands between me and a vintage tin..

O is for ...

OFF to the allotment
and for
OH it's raining cats and dogs

tiny dancer

a new addition to the studio

an old friend, inspiration and a brick wall

a wonderful day catching up with an old friend
was given delicate earthenware buttons
dropped by the best stationery shop this side of tokyo
and a brick wall caught my eye ( figuratively speaking of course )
